The Salihijo Ahmad Foundation (SA Foundation) has enrolled 55 orphans and vulnerable children in school in Mayo Belwa community, Adamawa State.
The organization’s fundamental objective is to give life-changing opportunities to children and women in neglected communities. It was founded by the family in memory of the late great philanthropist, Malam Salihijo Ahmad.
The foundation would cover their costs, educational materials, and Islamic education under the pilot initiative, which commenced with the 55 children who were meticulously mapped and enrolled in school.
The Foundation’s Executive Director, Haj. Zainab Salihijo Ahmad, said during the official enrolment occasion, “this event is the beginning of other great impacts the organization intends to make, as there are other projects the foundation intends to take on, in the coming months, like the Sustainable Education Project, the SAF Girl Child Counselling Project, and the SAF Training Programme amongst others.”
She urged the recipients to take their studies seriously and recommended parents to work with school officials to help their children achieve their full potentials.
The parents of the recipients in attendance thanked the foundation for providing their children with this opportunity and prayed for the team.
