The president of the union, Mr Linus Akpan, commended past presidents who showed commitment towards the completion of the project.

A non-governmental organisation, Ini Ememobong Foundation, has donated a secretariat to the Uyo branch of Ibiono Ibom Welfare and Development Union (IWADU).

Speaking at the inauguration of the complex, the Oku Ibom Ibibio,  Nteyin Solomon Daniel Etuk, commended the chairman of the Foundation, Ini Ememobong, for always remembering his roots.

He said, “I want to  encourage the people of Ibiono Ibom  to continue to give maximum support to their son, who has done them proud.”

The president of the union, Mr Linus Akpan, commended past presidents who showed commitment towards the completion of the project.

He applauded the chairman of the Foundation and commissioner for information and strategy, Akwa Ibom State, Mr Ini Ememobong, for his consistent  support for the organisation.

Ememobong, however,  acknowledged that it would not have been possible without God.

He thanked the people of Ibiono for the love and support they showed him, and promised not to let them down.

The Foundation had earlier donated the Udom Emmanuel IWADU House, the national headquarters of the socio-cultural organisation in Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area to the union.
