The Aminu Kano Kidney Dialysis Trust Foundation has donated dialysis consumables worth N500,000 to Muhammadu Abdullahi Wase Hospital in Kano to aid treatment of kidney patients.
The Foundation’s Chairman, Architect Ibrahim Haruna, who handed over the items to the management of the hospital, said the foundation took it upon itself to make such donations every quarter of the year to different hospitals in the state to give back to the society.

“The foundation is set up to take succour to those with kidney issues that require some assistance, especially financially. And we all know that kidney malfunction is one of the expensive ailments anyone could have and it has no regard for the financial status of the victims. They often need some push and support to be able to cope with the cost of consumables,’’ he said.
In his remarks, the Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Dr Mustapha Hikima, while thanking the foundation for the gesture, said the consumables will be judiciously used in treating the patients.
