Foundation donates 22,000 books to ABU, 10 others

The Sir Emeka Offor Foundation has donated 22,000 books to Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and 10 other schools in Kaduna State.

The foundation said the donation is part of their nationwide distribution of books and other educational materials to institutions of learning.

Speaking at the event, Chief of Staff to Sir Emeka Offor, AIG Chris Okey Ezike (rtd) said the books will help encourage reading culture among the students.

He said ABU received 60 cartons of books while Queen Amina College Kaduna, Dalet Girls Schools Kawo, GSS Hayin Banki, Sardauna Memorial College, and others got 20 cartons each.

He explained that the Minister of Finance and Budget Planning, Zainab Ahmed, facilitated the donations to Kaduna schools.

The minister who was represented by her Special Assistant, Hajiya Hauwa Yahaya,  ‎commended the foundation for the donation and urged other wealthy individuals to emulate it.
