A non-profit organisation, Sa’ar Mata Foundation (SMF) has distributed assorted food items to over 1,000 needy in Sokoto.
Similarly, the Foundation purchased 50 Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) forms for students seeking admission into the university for 2021/2022 academic session.

Distributing the food items at the flag-off ceremony in Dange Shuni, the founder, Barrister Sa’adatu Yunusa Muhammad, said the beneficiaries were drawn from across three local government areas in the Southern Senatorial Zone.
The local governments include Bodinga, Tureta and Dange Shuni respectively.
She explained that the gesture was tailored at assisting the needy in the areas to perform the Ramadan fast with ease as well as encourage youths to further their education without hitch.
According to her, the gesture is part of the foundation’s humanitarian services to support the needy during Ramadan.
“We find it important and relevant to extend the gesture to those in need especially in this holy month.”
She explained that the gesture covered all strata in need endeavours adding “all the beneficiaries were screened”.
She said the foundation was attracted to education development in order to provide opportunities to youths in the areas to acquire knowledge and become self-reliant .
Meanwhile, the foundation has donated carpets, and ablution items to various community mosques within the tree local government districts.
