Medical Director, Las Vegas Pain Institute USA, Dr. Godwin Maduka has through his Foundation, commenced cash transfer of N10,000 to hundreds of vulnerable persons and widows in Anambra state as a concerted effort to alleviate sufferings caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Foundation yesterday started sending instant cash transfer of N10,000 randomly to vulnerable and widows after answering some questions and identification through a live phone-in programme in one of the radio stations based in Onitsha.
According to Dr. Maduka, the gesture was part of his personal contribution to ensure that the negative effect of the COVID-19 on the economy of the country does not so much pauperise the vulnerable and widows.
