Foundation advocates special funding for disabled community

The Asmau Ali Foundation, a non-profit organisation, has advocated special funding to better the living conditions of Nigeria’s disabled community.

Asmau Ali, the founder of the organisation who made the call yesterday in Abuja at an Art Exhibition, said philanthropists and other corporate entities could make it part of their Corporate Social Responsibility to lend a helping hand to the millions of disabled people in Nigeria.

Also speaking, the Executive Director of FixPolitics Initiative, Anthony Ubani, said the gesture would inspire many non-governmental organizations to do more for the disabled community.
