A group, APC Patriotic Peoples Forum (APC-PPF) has asked the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to support the zoning of the speakership position of the 10th House of Representatives to the North Central geopolitical zone.

Acting Director-General of the Forum, Prof Hussaini Garba Dikko, who made the call at a press conference in Abuja on Thursday, said the zone deserved the position in view of the significant role it played in the just concluded general elections and also to engender national cohesion in the country.

The Forum also urged members-elect and other stakeholders to support the member representing Ekiti/Irepodun/Isin/Oke-Ero Federal Constituency of Kwara State, Abdulraheem Olawuyi, to emerge as Speaker of the 10th House of Representatives.

Dikko said the 10th House of Representatives under the leadership of Olawuyi will ensure the actualisation of his agenda in the areas of power, education, agriculture, security and employment, among others.
