The Kaduna Social Media Forum, on Friday held special prayers for missing activist Abubakar Idris popularly known as “Dadiyata”, who was abducted from his home in Barnawa Kaduna 84 days ago.
The convener, Comrade Yusuf Amoke said the participants in the prayers session are friends and well wishers of the activist from across the state.
“Dadiyata has been missing for over 84 days, we have done everything we could, we reached out to all stakeholders including the security on his whereabout but there is no answer.
“We are crying, our hearts are filled with sadness. Dadiyata is a vibrant young man who is an intellectual in the side of religious and western education.
“But unfortunately for whatever reason, we have not found our brother for more than 80 days,” Amoke said.
He urged Nigerians to join in the prayer, “so that Almighty Allah will intervene and our brother and friend will come back to his family.
“We urge all the security agencies to do the needful, so as to determine if he is alive or not.”
Leading the prayers, Malam Mohammed Abdullahi, offered prayers from the glorious Qur’an so that Almighty Allah will expose the abductors, so that he would come back to his family.
Abdullahi also prayed for leaders in the country and urged them to continue to initiate programmes that would benefit the masses.
Also, a political activist, Sir Jalal Falal described Dadiya as a vibrant young activist, “whose vision, thoughts and aspirations is on how to make Nigeria a better country for each and every person.”
He called on government to as a matter of urgency look into the matter and intensify search for the missing activist.
“You should remember that your primary responsibility is to protect lives and properties of all Nigerians regardless of tribe, religion and political affiliation.”
Falal urged youth in the country to also join in prayers for Dadiyata.
