The North East Youth Initiative for Development has distributed 100 pieces of Sallah clothes to orphans, underprivileged and vulnerable persons.
The clothes were distributed at its headquarters in Damaturu to four women-led charity associations.
Presenting the allocation letter to the associations on behalf of its executive director, Comrade Dauda Muhammad Gombe thanked Almighty Allah for sparing “our lives to witness yet a day where orphans would sleep happily like all other children.
“The main aim of establishing this organisation is to come to the aid and rescue of the vulnerable, masses, poor, needy and orphans, and I need to thank Almighty Allah that today we’ve put smiles on hundreds of thousands of those in need, if not millions.”
