Former President Goodluck Jonathan will on February 23 commission a 40 Megawatts Kashimbilla hydropower station in Taraba State.
The 40 megawatts is seen as a massive boost to electricity, especially the southern parts which include Takum, Donga, Ussa and Ibbi local government areas and neighbouring states.

Taraba State governor, Dr Agbu Kefas, has set up a high-powered committee to be chaired by the Chief of Staff, Dr Jeji Williams, for the commissioning of the station.
He added that the Kashimbilla airport will be the second in the state with huge potential for cargo transportation, stressing the economic benefits to the state and environs.
