Former NCAA DG, Capt. Usman, buried in Kaduna

The remains of a former Director-General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Captain Mukhtar Shuaibu Usman, have been buried at the Unguwan Sarki Muslim cemetery in Kaduna State.

Aged 65, Usman died in the early hours of Wednesday, December 2, 2020, at a private hospital in Kaduna after a brief illness.

His funeral prayer was held at the Sultan Bello mosque at 11 am after which his remains were conveyed to the cemetery where he was buried.

He is survived by a wife and four children.

The Minister of Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika, in a tribute, described his death as a monumental loss to the aviation industry.

Commissioner of Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB), Engr. Akin Olateru, described the deceased as a diligent aviation expert and civil servant who made a positive impact in the sector.
