Mudashir further said that the scholarship programme was conceived by Senator Barau to promote academic excellence and stimulate the country’s technological advancement.

The statement reads in part: “The scholarship programme is limited to artificial intelligence, robotics technology, cybersecurity and forensic science in line with the deputy president of the senate’s goal to contribute to addressing the shortage of experts in these specialised fields.”

Mudashir added that Senator Barau, who is the first Deputy Speaker of the ECOWAS Parliament, established the foundation to provide humanitarian, educational and empowerment initiatives in the country.
