The Katsina Concerned Citizen for Good Governance (KCCGG), a coalition of civil society groups, has expressed deep concern over recent incidents involving foreign nationals that threaten Nigeria’s sovereignty and integrity.
In a press statement issued to newsmen in Katsina on Friday and signed by its Chairman, Comrade Yakubu Muhammed, the group said those incidents include the arrest of individuals for actions harmful to Nigeria and the desecration of the Nigerian flag.
The group warned that foreign government interference in Nigeria’s internal affairs erodes national sovereignty, aggravates insecurity, and hampers development.
They called on the Federal Government to investigate and prosecute foreign nationals involved, review and enhance security measures, monitor foreign activities, and engage in enlightenment campaigns to promote respect for Nigeria’s sovereignty.

KCCGG acknowledges the economic hardship facing the country but emphasized that persistent foreign interference poses a grave challenge to national security.
They urged the government to take decisive action to curb foreign interference, strengthen national institutions, and foster a united front against external pressures.
The group stressed that securing Nigeria’s sovereignty is critical for long-term stability, security, and self-determination.
“By taking decisive action, the Nigerian government can reinforce its sovereignty, restore public confidence, and create a more resilient framework for governance,” the group advised.
