Borno State governor, Babagana Zulum has pledged his administration’s support to farmers in the state to fight food insecurity across the three senatorial districts.
Zulum made the pledge at the weekend while addressing his supporters after returning from a one-month vacation in Saudi Arabia.
The governor lamented the rising prices of food items in the market, but added that it could be crushed if farmers’ invest in massive production of crops, vegetables and livestock.

Zulum said that while partnering with the federal government in the agricultural and livestock sectors, the state government will distribute improved seeds of the major crops grown in each of the senatorial districts.
