The Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria, FMBN said its newly launched Affordable Housing Development programme shall deliver affordable houses at the prices of between N3.1m – N8.3m.
The managing director of the bank, Arch. Ahmed Dangiwa, who disclosed this in Katsina during the ground breaking of 200 housing unit in Katsina State, said affordability and locational peculiarities of places are some of the strong focus of the new initiatives of the houses to be built.
He said the bank will, through the programme, deliver 100 units of houses in each state of the federation, in a mix of 3, 2, 1 bedroom semi-detached bungalows and block of flats.
“The journey towards this collaborative arrangement started in 2013 in fulfillment of the Bank’s corporate strategy of building productive synergies with critical stakeholders to boost the provision of affordable housing in Nigeria.
In his remarks, the state governor, Aminu Masari, while commending the bank for the initiatives, assured of his administration’s readiness to provide some basic infrastructure at the premises.
