Flying officer Arotile: Absence of car owner stalls trial

A Kaduna Magistrate court on Monday adjourned hearing in the accident that claimed the life of Nigeria’s first female combat helicopter pilot, Flying officer Tolulope Arotile, when the owner of the car that killed her failed to show up in court.

Chief Magistrate Benjamin Hassan adjourned to September 14 for the commencement of hearing since David Adejoh, the owner of the Kia Sorento SUV and his surety were absent in court.

David Adejoh was arraigned on August 12 on a two-count charge of negligent conduct and causing danger to person or property in which he pleaded not guilty.
