As the rainy season intensifies, residents of Blabiri area in Michika local government are reeling from the devastating effects of flooding, which has left a trail of destruction in its wake.
The deluge, triggered by heavy downpour on the mountainous area, has ravaged houses, food items, and livelihoods, leaving scores of people in distress.
Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, who inspected the affected areas, sympathized with the victims and pledged that the state government would provide assistance within its limited resources.
He vowed to support those who lost their homes and means of livelihood, while also promising to explore long-term solutions to mitigate the impact of flooding in the area.
