Several farmlands located along the banks of River Benue in Taraba State have been submerged by water as River Benue overflows.
Similarly, residential buildings in villages along the river were destroyed.
A resident of Mayoreneyo town in Ardo- Kola Local Government Area, Alhaji Jidda Mayoreneyo told Daily Trust that many houses in the town had collapsed after River Benue overflowed its bank.
He said several farms were submerged by water in the area, explaining that residents of villages along the waterway started noticing water flooding the river two days ago.

Alhaji Jidda stated that many villages had relocated as their houses had been submerged by water.
A resident of Zip village in Karim_Lamido, Musa Gambo, told Daily Trust that overflowing water from River Benue had submerged his houses and farmlands.
