The Yobe State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) has disclosed that over 31,000 households have been affected by floods in 255 communities across 17 LGAs.
Dr Mohammed Goje, the Executive Secretary of SEMA, said, “As of October 2, over 31,000 households were affected by floods across 255 communities in 17 LGAs of the state.

“Gujba Mutai, Kukuwa Tasha, Buni Gari, Buni Yadi, Gulani, Jakusko, Tarmuwa, Geidam and Bade witnessed the worst in nearly half a century.”
Goje added that 75 fatalities had been reported as a direct consequence of windstorms and floods with many more lives at risk across 10 LGAs from May to date. (NAN)
