The national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Abdullahi Adamu, has donated some relief materials to flood victims in 17 riverine communities of Toto LGA of Nasarawa State.
Also, the speaker of the state House of Assembly, Alhaji Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, has donated N4 million in cash to the flood victims.

Daily Trust had reported that over 17 riverine communities, which included Iggi, Shegye, Dawusu, in Toto LGA of the state were submerged by flood.
The speaker, while donating the money at the Ohimegye’s palace in Umaisha town on Friday, said the gesture was to cushion the effect on the flood victims in his constituency.
He said the gesture would also improve the standard of living of the flood victims and give them a sense of belonging.
Alhaji Ibrahim said the state House of Assembly had come up with a resolution under matters of public importance, on the urgent need to come to the aid and rescue of the flood victims.
“The unfortunate flood incident did not only happen in Toto local government but it also happened in Nasarawa, Doma, and Awe LGAs of the state and in some states of the federation,” he said.
He urged the beneficiaries to use the fund for the purposes intended to change their lives positively while assuring them that the state government’s intervention would soon be made available to them.
Also speaking, His Royal Highness Alhaji Usman Abdullahi, the Ohimege Opanda Umaisha, appreciated the speaker for his good representation in the state legislature and for always coming to the aid of his people.
He also told the speaker that the APC national chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, the Nasarawa West senatorial candidate, Architect Shehu Tukur, Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, and SDP Nasarawa West sensorial candidate, as well as the chairman of Toto LGC, Alhaji Aliyu Abdullahi Tasha, had donated relief materials to the flood victims.
He assured the speaker of the judicious distribution of the items to the affected victims.
The monarch appealed to corporate organisations and other public-spirited individuals to come to the aid of the flood victims.
Responding on behalf of the flood victims, the village head of Iggi, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi, appreciated the speaker for the donation and prayed for God to bless him abundantly.
