- Hassan Ahmad Danbaba was the grandson of the late Premier of the Northern Region, Sir Ahmadu Bello.
- He was appointed as the part-time chairman of the Sokoto-Rima River Basin Development Authority 2020 by the Buhari administration.
- He was on the throne of Magajin Garin Sokoto for 25 years.
- His mother, Hajiya A’ishatu, was the eldest daughter of the late Premier of the Northern Region, Sir Ahmadu Bello.
- He had a disagreement with the Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar, over an alleged probe by the EFCC.
