No few than five persons have been reportedly shot dead following alleged cult fight between Eiye and Aye confraternities in the last two days in Edo state.
It was gathered that the clashes reportedly happened in areas such as Upper Sokponba, Ogida and New Benin within the Benin metropolis.

It was learnt that the clash which started on Wednesday left about five people dead.
Two of the victims were were alleged to have been killed in Idogbo, upper Sakpoba , one was killed behind the Ikpoba-Okha local government area secretariat, and another near Y-Junction also along the same Sokponba Road.
It was learnt that one of the victims who is an escapee from one of the prisons was killed near Ogida barracks while another was killed near Constain area in New Benin.
A resident of the area said they have been living in fear following the fight between the cult group.
He said they could not ascertained the cause of the clash between the cult group.
Meanwhile, it was further learnt that on Wednesday morning, some armed men took over Upper Sokponba Road brandishing dangerous weapons and harassing motorists following the absence of security in the area.
Also, gunmen were alleged to have taken over Siluko Road near Ogida barracks brandishing guns and forced all those trekking to raise up their hands and disposed them of their property.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, Chidi Nwabuzor, said he was in a meeting and that the reporter should called back.
