No fewer than 429 pilgrims from Ogun State landed at Prince Muhammad Bin Abdul-Azeez International Airport, Medina in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at exactly 10:36am Saudi time which is 8:36am Nigeria time Tuesday.

The pilgrims were conveyed by Flynas A330 Airline from the Muritala International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos at 10:45pm on Monday.

This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Press Officer of the Muslim Pilgrim Welfare Board, Gafar Alabi.

Reacting through a telephone interview, the Executive Secretary of the board, Alhaji Salau Dauda, expressed happiness about their arrival.

He said the second batch was already being airlifted as of press time. 

He emphasised that the last batch would be airlifted on Thursday at 10:45pm, recalling that 1,234 and three officials would participate in the Hajj exercise.
