Firm to spend N70m for school building in Edo

The management of Agripalm Limited has commenced the construction of the demolished Oba Akenzua II Primary School in Ovia South-West Local Government Area of Edo State. 

Speaking during the foundation ceremony, Farm Manager Herman Smith said the construction and furnishing of the school would cost the company not less than N70 million.

He said one block of three classrooms will be completed within four months and handed over to the government.

The construction, he said, was sequel to a judgment delivered by the Oba of Benin following a petition by illegal settlers and the company for the development of the area north of the pipeline as staff quarters and rebuild the demolished Oba Akenzua II Primary School. 

Speaking on the project, Aguobasinmwin, the Enogie of Siluko Dukedom, commended the management of the company for complying with the Oba of Benin’s directive for the rebuilding of the school.
