Cipriani Limited, A real estate firm, has announced a partnership with the Federal Ministry of Science And Technology toward developing smart cities in Abuja, the federal capital territory.
The partnership was sealed over the weekend when the chief executive officer of the firm, Segun Maku, paid a courtesy visit to the ministry, stressing that the partnership will birth transformation in smart buildings in Abuja and environs.
He said “Cipriani’s partnership with the Federal Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation to develop a smart city in Abuja aims to integrate advanced technology, innovation and sustainability into the city’s infrastructure, paving the way for a future-focused urban environment.
“This strategic partnership is particularly important as the government has now proven it’s commitment to identifying with 3D technology because it is the future of the construction sector not only in Nigeria or Africa but the world at large.

In his response, the minister of Science and Technology, Uche Nnaji, pledged the commitment of the ministry in improving technological advancement in the construction industry.
He said, “The ministry will provide the necessary facilities and land to develop the smart cities and also the needed environment to develop manpower capacity.”
