Firm establishes AI hub in Abeokuta

As part of plans to bridge the digital divide with artificial intelligence solutions designed for Africans, CDIAL AI has announced the expansion of the CDIAL Indigenous Artificial Intelligence Hub in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

A statement by the firm on Thursday highlighted that “The Indigenous hub at St. Mary’s Nursery/Primary School in Osiele, Abeokuta plans to onboard over 500 students and numerous young adults to transform the community through technology and education.”

On the rationale for the expansion,  Shona Olalere Oluwatola, Co-Founder and CXO of CDIAL AI said that Nigeria faces a significant demand and supply problem in the field of AI.

Oluwatola added that the project aims to tackle the challenges facing education and technology adoption in Nigeria and across Africa by fostering collaborations with partners, local stakeholders, educators, parents, and policymakers.

Also speaking, Dr. Tobi Oluwatola CEO of TAO Energy added “It’s important that there is access to reliable energy as students seek to learn artificial intelligence. Historically, universities and institutions have faced challenges with reliable power sources, relying on unreliable grids and generators, which are a cost burden.”
