Firm distributes N10m items to Bayelsa IDPs

Sundry Markets Limited (SML), owners of Marketsquare Supermarkets, a grocery retailer, has donated food items worth N10 million to flood victims at the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

In a statement yesterday, the Marketing Manager of SML, Timothy Abati, said, “This is one of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) interventions. Bayelsa people have been incredible hosts. We are concerned about their plight in the face of a ravaging flood and it is only appropriate that we reciprocate the good gesture and demonstrate that Marketsquare stands with them at this trying period of natural disaster,’’ Abati said.

Abati however, called on corporate organizations and good spirited individuals to rally victims of flood to enable them cope with pains associated with natural disasters.
