Before Lawless’ appointment, he was the company’s chief operating officer (COO). He took over from EM&I Founder, Danny Constantinis, who will head the board as executive chairman.

A statement by the company noted that Woodcock had previously worked as resident country and operations manager for SBM’s offshore facilities in Vietnam, Turkmenistan, Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea, USA, Gulf of Mexico and Brazil. He had also worked as the General Manager of MODEC Ghana, responsible for Tullow and MODEC facilities.

Woodcock, who reports to Lawless, said he was looking forward to his new role with EM&I. Constantinis said: “EM&I has always been a leader in the field of asset integrity, and as we continue pioneering developments in digitisation and robotics, I am confident that this is the right time to handover the day-to-day management to a new and highly experienced CEO.”
