The Kano State Fire Service has rescued two people from a commercial vehicle that was engulfed by fire while conveying Onions from Tudun Wada LGA of the state to Lafia, in Nasarawa State.
The two people, Malam Idris Abubakar, 43, who was the driver of the bus and Iliyasu Ya’u, 30, were rescued unhurt.

The spokesman of the Fire Service in Kano, SFS Saminu Yusuf Abdullahi, said the incident occurred as a result of a battery spark adding that their team was able to control the situation.
“With the good effort of our men, the victims were rescued alive with no injury and many of the onions were saved,” he said.
