Fire razes four shops in Kwara

Four shops were yesterday gutted by fire that also left property worth millions of naira destroyed at Kulende Junction, Sango Area of Ilorin.

It was gathered the fire outbreak was caused by a resident in the area who set some abandoned tyres on fire.

The Head of Department (HOD) of Media and Publicity of Fire Service, Hassan Adekunle, called for caution and vigilance among residents.

 “The director of the service, Prince Falade Olumuyiwa, has urged citizens to always be at alert for any form of naked fire in their neighborhoods, especially in this harmattan season,” he added.
