A fire outbreak has razed down seven lockup shops and destroyed properties worth millions of Naira in Ufuma, Orumba North local government area of Anambra State.
The fire outbreak, according to a source, Uche Nzom started at around 1.30 am on Sunday.

He said due to the time of the incident, no one was around to combat the fire and it succeeded in razing down the seven shops at Ufuma junction.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of Anambra state command, SP Haruna Mohammed said “on the 6/12/2020, there was a report of fire incident at Ufuma junction in Orumba North LGA of Anambra State.
According to him, “the fire incident which allegedly started around 1:20am razed down completely Seven (7) lockup shops destroying properties worth millions of Naira.
He said “police operatives attached to Ajali Division Immediately rushed to the scene and cordoned off the area to prevent hoodlums from looting while the fire was put off by local volunteers.
Mohammed also said that there was no loss of life and the value of property destroyed was yet to be determined.
He also said that Police are still investigating to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident.
