A fire has destroyed six shops near a motor park in Birniwa LGA of Jigawa State.
The fire was as a result of an electrical spark, according to the spokesman of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in the state, Adamu Shehu.

Shehu who confirmed the incident to newsmen on Monday said the fire was put out after it had destroyed property worth millions of naira.
