Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s administration is undertaking the remodeling and restructuring of the Adamawa State High Court complex, transforming it into a world-class judicial facility to enhance justice delivery and adjudication.
This significant initiative addresses the lack of renovation since the building was originally constructed some 40 years ago by the Abubakar Barder administration.
The Fintiri government has allocated N2.3 billion for this project, which is currently underway.
Upon its completion, the Adamawa State High Court will stand as one of the most prestigious and finest structures dedicated to justice in Nigeria.

The extensively renovated complex is designed to provide judges with an optimal environment, enabling them to uphold justice effectively and efficiently.
This revitalized setting will not only benefit judges but also aid lawyers practicing within the court system, fostering improved processes for delivering justice and ensuring that citizens experience timely and fair legal outcomes.
The complex will be equipped with a comprehensive array of basic necessities as well as state-of-the-art amenities, catering to the needs of all stakeholders involved in the judicial process.
The Fintiri administration has also prioritized the welfare of judges and staff, greatly motivating the judicial workforce.
Furthermore, the Adamawa judiciary is among the few in the country that has gained autonomy, which has helped rebuild public confidence, ensure stability and consistency, protect individual rights, maintain checks and balances, and uphold impartiality.
Two years ago, Governor Fintiri assented to the law granting autonomy to the Adamawa State judiciary and the state assembly. Since then, a committee has been established to ensure each sector receives its allocated funds without government interference.
In another bold move for Adamawa’s infrastructure development, the Fintiri government has initiated the comprehensive upgrading and remodeling of the government lodges at the Government House in Yola.
The ongoing project will
transformed the 4 government lodges within the Government House Yola to meet international standards, making them capable of accommodating presidents and distinguished international guests from around the world.
The upgraded facilities now feature state-of-the-art amenities, ensuring a comfortable and secure environment for high-profile visitors.
This initiative not only enhances the prestige of Adamawa State but also promotes its capacity to host significant national and international events, fostering greater global engagement and collaboration.
