Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has congratulated Professor Umar Pate on his emergence as the Vice Chancellor, Federal University Kashere, Gombe State.
He was announced as the third Vice Chancellor of the institution by the university’s Governing Council.

Fintiri extolled the academic and leadership qualities of Prof. Pate, saying he has the experience to uplift the university to a world class status.
The governor described Pate as an established academic of international repute, who made an impact across newsrooms.
“I have no doubt in his competence because Prof. Pate has distinguished himself both at the University of Maiduguri and Bayero University Kano having previously held a variety of leadership roles.
“I am proud to say that Adamawa is blessed and honoured with Professor Pate’s appointment, and I have confidence in his capacity to move the university to greater heights,” he said.
