Dignitaries including Adamawa State governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri; Acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ambassador Umar Iliya Damagun; and members of the Bauchi State Council of Emirs, led by the Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji Rilwanu Sulaimanu Adamu, have sympathised with Governor Bala Mohammed over the death of his stepmother, Hajiya Hauwa Mohammed Duguri.
In their separate messages, Governor Fintiri, Damagun and his Royal Highness, Emir Adamu described her death as a great loss to her family, the Duguri community, and the entire state.
They prayed for the soul of the deceased, asking Allah to bestow her with eternal peace in Jannatul Firdaus.
Responding, Governor Mohammed expressed gratitude for the show of concern, prayers and condolences, describing the deceased as an exemplary mother who lived a life worthy of emulation.
