Adamawa State Governor-elect, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has inaugurated a 65-Member Transition Committee to facilitate the handing over ceremony.
The transition committee is headed by former permanent secretary, Ministry of Defence, Aliyu Ismaila Numan, and Johan Yahaya as Secretary.
Speaking at the inauguration of the committee, Fintiri mandated members to ascertain the assets and liabilities of the state as well as obtain details of transactions done in the last four years.
The term of reference of the committee include the details of general staff, their MDAs, their date of 1st appointment, rank, date of last promotion and salary grade level.
The committee is also expected to compile names of political office holders, members of the State Executive Council, Senior Special Assistant, Special Assistants, Advisers, and other aides.
In his remarks, Numan thanked the governor-elect for entrusting them with the task, saying they would discharge their duties with utmost sincerity.
He noted that heads of ministries and departments would be given opportunity to interface with the committee to explain their expenditures.
He solicited for the support of the outgoing administration for smooth transition, saying there was no intention to witch-hunt any official.
