Finally, CJN, Onnoghen swears in Justice Kafarati as Federal High Court Chief Judge

The Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Walter Onnoghen has sworn in Justice Adamu Abdul Kafarati as the substantive Chief Judge of the Federal HIGH Court.

At the well-attended function at the Supreme Court complex, Justice Onnoghen charged Justice Kafarati  to always be guided by the Constitution, remain courageous and firm.

"There is no doubt the Judiciary remains the only hope of man. And the Judiciary can only do that through the rule of law," he said.

Justice Kafarati’s confirmation became a source of concerns after his initial appointment in Acting capacity on Saturday September 16, 2017 to replace former Chief Judge, retired Justice Ibrahim Auta.

He was reappointed in similar capacity on December 16, 2017 and March 16.
