Justice Onnoghen expressed confidence that the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), the umbrella body of lawyers in Nigeria and judges in all the courts would sign up with the new system to make it more operational within the stipulated time.

Earlier, the NBA President, Abubakar Mahmoud (SAN), said the association had taken steps to digitize the database and legal reference materials, adding the last NBA election was conducted electronically.

In his remarks, the chairman of the Judicial Information Committee, Justice Kashim Zannah, said the focus of the judicial information technology policy was to develop and ensure an integrated platform for the automation of Nigerian courts and ultimately the justice system.
