‘Fifty’ set to close its 4-month run in cinemas

The Ebonylife movie ‘Fifty’ which has been running in Nigerian cinemas for four months is coming to a close.
According to the Executive producer Mo Abudu, ‘Fifty’ started running in early December 2015 and became a movie that was reckoned with amongst movie lovers in the country. According to a press release, she expressed her excitement and gratitude to Nigerians saying, “We are extremely proud and this is a testament that Nigerians do support their own.”
The movie which has had several reviews since it was first showcased at the BFI London Film Festival 2015, BBC and other online platforms, is said to have recorded over N400 million, gotten through various revenue generating streams.
‘Fifty’ was supported by stakeholders in government and business, including the Lagos State government, the Federal Government, corporate and social Nigeria.
One of such ways was the ‘Win big with ‘Fifty’ promo which was held nationwide with incentives for audiences including a grand gift presentation of a new Brand new Mercedes Benz B-class in April 2016.
