Leading cable TV provider, Kwese, has opened over 20 fan parks and football viewing centres across the country.

The aim, according to a statement from Kwese, is “to empower Nigerians passion for the round leather game” as well as drum support for the Nigerian national team, the Super Eagles, at the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Russia.

It added that the fan parks and football viewing centres are open to all football lovers across the nation.

“Some of the fan parks are located in Soul Lounge, Kubwa in Abuja; Eko Atlantic in Lagos; The Dome in Calabar and Higi Haga centre in Port Harcourt, while the viewing centres are located in key cities across the country.

“The parks are not just regular as they have been designed to give the fans a much deserved 360 degree football experience throughout the tournament.

“So look out for the Kwese fan parks and viewing centres around you, walk into them and witness a football experience that you will remember for years. After all, This Is Naija, Where Football Lives!” the statement read.

It will be recalled that more than 3.2 billion people globally watched the 2014 FIFA World Cup held in Brazil, even as a record 17.5 million viewers watched Nigeria’s first match against Iran in that same tournament.
