The invitation letter to Jibrin, sighted by Daily Trust and signed by Zubairu Sinu, Investigative/Disciplinary Panel Chairman, urged him to appear before the panel by 3pm today.
The letter partly read: “Please, recall the query issued to you by the Managing Director/CE over allegations of serious misconduct in the course of your official duties, and your deliberate refusal to respond to the query as required by the Rules of Public Service as applicable to public officers.”
The panel said the question of the disciplinary action against Jubrin “include termination or dismissal (if necessary) will be brought forward and you are required to appear before the panel personally to defend yourself.
“You’re also entitled to call witnesses, if need be.”
The letter said Jibrin’s failure not to honour the invitation would not invalidate the proceedings of the panel. A source at the FHA, in a chat with Daily Trust, hinted that Jibrin was summoned for absconding from his duties for about 90 days.
“He’s campaigning for Tinubu. Did he resign or leave? Who permitted him to do that? These are the questions he needs to answer,” the source said.
