Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has promised that the Federal Government will reconstruct the Iwo-Ibadan road from Osogbo, Osun State capital.
Osinbajo said this in Iwo during the launching of a federal government empowerment programme for 30,000 petty traders in the state tagged “trader-mini” through the Bank of Industry.
The Vice President said the empowerment programme in which each of the traders will get N10,000 was designed to assist petty traders in the state to be able do their businesses.
He assured the people of Iwo that the federal government would reconstruct the Iwo-Ibadan road from Osogbo to enhance free flow of movement and boost the economy in the area.
He said the administration of President Muhammad Buhari remained committed to the welfare of the people.
Osun state governor, Mr Rauf Aregbesola, his Deputy Governor, Mrs Grace Titilayo Laoye Tomori and the Gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Alhaji Isiaka Gboyega Oyetola attended the event.
