The federal government has said that it will ensure all operational vehicles belonging to the Nigeria Police which are currently abandoned in various garages at different commands including the headquarters are revamped.
Although the government did not disclose how much it would gulp to revamp the vehicles, the development is coming amid rising cases of kidnapping, banditry, terrorism among other criminalities ravaging the length and breadth of the country.
Speaking when he visited Kayode Egbetokun, the Inspector-General of Police at Force Headquarters, Abuja during the weekend, the Executive Vice Chairman of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), Khalil Suleiman Halilu, said there would be no going back on the development.

Daily Trust reports that NASENI, a federal government agency under the Presidency, is the only on-purpose built intervention agency whose mandate includes nurturing an appropriate and dynamic science and engineering infrastructure base for achieving home-initiated and home-sustained industrialisation for Nigeria.
