The Federal Government has reiterated its commitment for safe and efficient airspace buoyed by an invigorated radio communication system.
The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), Capt. Fola Akinkuotu, who stated this yesterday, said the challenges being experienced in the area of pilot-air traffic controllers’ communication would soon be a thing of the past.
Capt. Akinkuotu said airspace deserved the very best radio communication system, and that government was working to deliver it.
He further explained that it was essential for communication between pilots and air traffic controllers to be crisp and clear, stressing that “part of NAMA’s job is communication. We will keep trying; we will not rest until we fix it. We will fix it.”
