The Executive Secretary of the National Senior Secondary Education Commission, Benjamin Abakpa, says the commission is set to carry out needs assessment and review the senior secondary education curriculum to meet the minimum standard.
He said this would be done in collaboration with the Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council.
A statement Sunday by the spokesperson of the commission, Fatima Bappare, quoted Abakpa to have said this in Benue State during a three-day sensitization and advocacy programme organized for education stakeholders in the North Central.
Abakpa said to achieve the set objective, the commission was embarking on sensitization and advocacy across the country to carry all the stakeholders along.
He said the commission was making efforts towards developing accurate database of senior secondary schools in the country.
He said the review of the curriculum would help to address some of the challenges confronting senior secondary education.
