Mr Ibrahim Nmadu, the state RAMP II coordinator, disclosed this on Tuesday in an interview with newsmen in Minna.
He said the projects would be funded by the World Bank, adding that bid for the contract has been finalised.
Nmadu said biding for the projects was done in accordance with the World Bank procurement guidelines.
“We advertised in two national dailies and we have gotten approval; contractors are still at the documentation stage. The scope will cover rural roads in all the councils of the state in order to give access to farmers and generate employment for the teeming youths,’’ he said.
The project coordinator said the 176 kilometres of roads would be the first phase, adding that the project is targeting 500 kilometres of roads in the state. (NAN)
