FG to leverage on ICT to address unemployment -Minister

The Minister of Communications, Barrister Adebayo Shittu, has said federal government will leverage on the communication technology sector to solve the problem of unemployment in the country.
The minister who spoke in Lagos on Friday at a reception organised in his honour by the Association of Telecommunications Companies of Nigeria (ATCON), said ICT offered Nigeria the best hope of employment generation for the youth.
He said the sector also offered the best hope of increasing the productivity of the nation’s workforce through train and re-train as well as best hope of activating positive revolution in promising sectors such as: agriculture, solid minerals, entertainment, textiles, among others.
