Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule has disclosed that the federal government has finalised arrangements to draft a unit of the Police Mobile Force ( PMF) to areas prone to attacks by bandits in Nasarawa Local Government Council.
He made this known at the palace of Sarkin Loko, HRH Alhaji Umar, while showing appreciation to both President Muhammadu Buhari and the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, for their prompt response to the security threats in the area, the governor said the security agents would be stationed between Ajaga, Bakono and Loko, as well as Tunga town.

Governor Sule said the Emir of Nasarawa, Ibrahim Usman Jibril, alongside the Oche Agatu, Ahmed Kwanaki Guto, visited him at the government house to intimate him about the security breaches by bandits, following which he took the matter before the president.
“The federal government is quick in sending a unit of mobile police that will be stationed in the area in the next one week. We want to show great appreciation to that,” he stated.
The governor used the opportunity to call on the people of Loko Development Area to cooperate with the security agents, so that they can effectively protect the people.
He also appealed to communities in the area not to cooperate with bandits by shielding their identities.
Sule equally warned the bandits to leave the area, since most of them came from other parts of the country, stressing that if they failed to leave, the only option left would be to dislodge them forcefully as was done in Otu.
