Leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) under the aegis of APC Legacy Awareness and Campaign have said the concession process of the Abuja, Lagos, Kano and Port Harcourt international airports would be completed in 2022.
This was contained in a statement issued on Wednesday in Abuja, by a former National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Lanre Issa-Onilu; member of the APC Caretaker/Extraordinary National Convention Planning Committee, Barr Ismail Ahmed; Director-General of the Progressives Governors’ Forum (PGF), Salihu Mohammed Lukman and presidential aide, Tolu Ogunlesi.

The APC leaders said the Buhari-led administration is delivering on the aviation sector roadmap that was launched in 2016.
According to the statement, the aim is to transform the aviation sector in terms of safety, infrastructure and economic viability.
“Just like in roads, rail, and ports, Nigeria’s Aviation Industry is undergoing a revolution, in terms of unprecedented investments in infrastructure and capacity-building, under the watch of President Buhari.
“The Concession process for the Lagos, Abuja, Kano and Port Harcourt International Airports – the four main International Airports in the country – is ongoing, with completion of the process scheduled for 2022,” the group said.
